There is A LOT of work to be done!   This means many working hands are needed!  We welcome you to join us in any area that calls to you!

The National NAACP encourages every Branch to establish 22 standing committees as listed below. However, the Lake County Branch is not large enough at this time to be capable of establishing and maintaining such an extensive group of committees.  Branch Members and Executive Committee Members cover these areas where possible.

We rely on like-minded individuals to step forward and take an active role in addressing the many issues facing minorities across Lake County.

Standing Committees recommended by the National NAACP include:

ACT-SO; Armed Services & Veteran Affair’s; Communications, Press & Publicity; Community Coordination; Criminal Justice; Economic Development; Education;  Environmental and Climate Justice; Finance; Freedom Fund; Health; Housing; Labor & Industry; Legal Redress; Membership and Life Membership; Political Action; Prison Branch; Religious Affairs; Young Adult; Youth Works; and WIN.

A description of the duties of each of these committees can be found in the Branch Bylaws established by the National NAACP.
